More Provence does not go! A place with character! We felt very comfortable. The rooms are all very cozy and the bathrooms in the main house great design. The square in front of the house is wonderful. You sit under lime trees and can enjoy the French country life here during the day as well as in the evening. The pool is wonderfully large. If you are traveling with two families, the small cottage offers another two nice bedrooms. All in all, absolutely recommended! And Cotignac is a beautiful place with nice stores and nice restaurants. (translated from German)

Lovely place to spend a few days, whether it’s checking out the local markets, historic towns or the gorges. Stunning house set in vineyards and olive groves - it’s everything a Provence holiday should be! Looking forward to returning this year

We loved our visit to your house and what a lovely name “La Rouxane”!

There was always somewhere to eat lunch, we really like La Terasse and Temps do Pose. We also had a wonderful lunch of Blanquette de Veau in Atelier Gourmand Jeanette in Brignoles. I left you a card from there. Lovely décor (retro 1960’s) and interesting artwork. I’ll attach a photo.

We decided to eat-in at night to avoid the windy (windey?) roads as well as being able to enjoy some wine. The Spar has a decent deli and the bread is awesome, we loved it. Nice collection of movies at the house too, so we had movies every night in front of the fire; romantic, peaceful and relaxing.

I visited La Rouxanne in November 2017, what a place and a fantastic time of year to visit! Beautiful environment and ideal family retreat....

Cotignac is just a short trip down the road for an evening out or gathering round the fire Pit and swapping stories by the fountain of youth!

I can't recommend the place highly enough and will be returning again very soon!

Thanks Ru and Jen for letting me stay!

We spent 2 idyllic weeks at the house with friends and a week in the cabanon in the summer of 2016.
La Rouxane has everything, from a quiet walk around the vineyard to a shady spot in the woods or hilarity in the pool. The lovely thing is that every member of your family can enjoy all this at the same time, doing different things to suit them.
We enjoyed lots of lovely al fresco meals on the terrace which always seemed to be shaded whatever the time of day.
We had planned lots of outings but we enjoyed the house, the pool and the grounds so much that we hardly did anything. There's enough space to have a proper football match and we enjoyed many boule tournaments (gin and tonic in hand!).
We did get out to the local river for kayaking one morning which was beautiful. We even saw an otter swimming - stunning. The river was shady and quiet and the rapids were a lot of fun.
We also managed to make it to lake for paddle boarding and pedalo-ing. The water is a stunning colour(the photos really are true) and surprisingly warm.
We loved our morning trips into the picturesque village to get bread and croissant. It's a bit like being in a french film with the tree lined cobbled streets and cafes. We loved Temps de Pose in the top square, recommended by our hosts. The main Spar has an excellent range of produce and is just out of the village towards Brignoles. The Spar in the village is perfect for most things too. The market on Tuesday mornings was a fabulous excuse to drink rose at 10am (like the locals do!), pick up local produce and some some good gifts.
In our second week, our friends left and we moved into the Cabanon for a week. This is like a little cottage not far from the house, completely self contained and totally charming. The vine draped deck has a glorious breeze through it for much of the day and it's very tranquil.
We can't recommend La Rouxane enough and will definitely be back next year (and possibly the year after too!)
